Ben Fund Bonanza: Rockets duo to appear.
Latest names for the Ben Fund Bonanza will please Rye House fans with the inclusion of former Rockets’ hero Edward Kennett plus their current no. 1 Chris Neath.
Kennett said “It’s a great meeting, I was in it last year and I wanted to be there again this year.
“It’s a fantastic idea to stage a meeting like this and the fact that people like Leigh and Jason ride in it show how much the riders support it.
“Touch wood I have never had to be a beneficiary of the fund but it is good to know it is there for any riders who are seriously injured.
“Obviously I know Rye House well having ridden there for a few years so it should be good to go back.”
Kennett recently re-signed for Coventry of course and still has ambitions of reaching the top in the sport. Neath will again front the Rye House challenge for honours and knows the track as well as anyone in the field.
There was further excellent news for the SRBF with the announcement that £618.94 was collected for the Fund at the recent New year Classic at Newport, for which Paul Ackroyd has sent grateful thanks to the Newport Promotion.
