Monarchs Get First Away Win Of The Season At Newport
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007The Scotwaste Monarchs fought back from a 7-point deficit to take a 47-42 victory at Newport on Sunday afternoon.
They were indebted to a spectactular and thrilling performance from guest Lee Complin, standing in for Matthew Wethers, but there were good performances elsewhere in the team, notably Ronnie Correy’s sound dozen.
Complin made brilliant use of a good outside line and was almost unstoppable, losing out only in heat 12 when Phil Morris used blocking tactics to cut off Lee’s run.
