SPEEDWAY GP - LESNO - 10 MAY

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Am I the only person to think the exclusion of Crump from the semi-final was wrong? Crump was clearly alongside and almost in front of Pedersen when they entered the corner, and Pedersen was well aware that as Crump slid into the corner he would need more space. Yet, he kept turing left into Crump and instead of straightening a little and staying on board, he quite deliberately fell off and feigned injury by staying down.

Tero “The Hero” Aarnio

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Well after reading how “the Hero” rode at Glasgow for the Isle Of Wight on Sunday I felt it was probably time to give him a little space on my blog.

Tero came into the Berwick team this year as a relatively unknown rider and many of us did not know what to expect from him. Lucky for us he started off with some ok scores for the team and quite impressed us.

Bad night in Berwick

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Tonight was not a great night in Berwick as many of you will read elsewhere.

Crashes in race one and three on the first corner but with no injuries.

However later in the night, Heat 4 i think, another crash on Bend 1 with new boy Scott “the Scud” Smith. A bike was thrown over the fence into 2 spectators. Both of whom were children.

Scuds Back :)

So glad to see this :)

Heres the press release:

This will be Smith’s 3rd session as a Bandit, in an association that goes back to around the turn of the Millennium for his first and 2005 for his second, but the prodigal son has made another highly anticipated comeback.

The Scud had kicked off 2008 with the Workington Comets, but as results were slow to come his Cumbrian bosses lost patience and let him go just as Berwick were looking for a replacement for the injured Italian, Guglielmo Franchetti.

A new season…

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Ok its a new season of speedway, has been for a while i know, but well this year thinks have started both positively and negatively for the Bandits.

Had a great team for the first PL matches, obviously a man short as he broke he collar bone but it was good and we were unbeaten. However Henning Bager left the team and our injured rider returned only to rebrake his collar bone.
